If awards reflect quality, Bream Bay Painting are up there with the best. The Ruakaka based business over the years has won 4 awards in the Master Painters NZ Awards of Excellence. The Master Painters Group this year celebrated its 100th year in existence and has over 600 members countrywide.
Clint Wheeler of Bream Bay Painting won a national award in 2013 but this year in 2017 far succeeded by winning another 3 trophies. The 2017 awards were for properties at Mangawhai and Langs Beach. The first being a gold award for“residential rework exterior contemporary”. Another gold for “residential rework exterior classic” and a trophy for winning the residential exterior contemporary section.
Judge Brian Miller was high in his praise of the winning team stating “New Zealand is a challenging environment, Clint sets a very high standard and lives by that edict. His customers have high expectations and both clients in this instance were very pleased with the outcome.”
In 2013 Bream Bay Painting landed the trophy for “residential interiors” in the Master Painters NZ Awards of Excellence for work on a Waipu Cove property. It was the first Northland entry in the awards, which were then in their fifth year. Master Painters New Zealand CEO and Judge Brian Miller said the firm's work was a fantastic project which skilfully combined a wide variety of materials. "Bream Bay Painting put together one of the best business presentations we've seen and matched that with incredibly high-quality workmanship”. Mr Miller said the field that year was incredibly tight. "The consistency of highly detailed, highly finished work across the projects was outstanding”. As a first-time entry from Northland, Mr Miller said "They've represented the region superbly".
